Spray Adhesive: This will help the layers of tulle stick together and maintain their shape.
Stick-On Felt: Black felt for the eyes and mouth.
Balloon: Inflated to the desired size of your ghost's head. The circumference of mine was approx. 21”
Old Water Bottle: To use as a stand while assembling your ghost.
Pins or Needles: For popping the balloon once the ghost is dry.
Plastic tablecloth: This is an inexpensive way to protect your workspace.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Now that we have all our materials ready, let's get started on creating our tulle ghosts!
Step 1: Prepare the Base
Inflate the Balloon: Start by inflating a balloon to the size you want for your ghost's head. This will serve as the mold for shaping the tulle. I made mine approx. 21” around.
Attach the Balloon: Tape the inflated balloon to the top of an old water bottle. This setup will act as a stand, keeping the balloon steady while you work.
Step 2: Layer the Tulle
First Layer: Place the first square of tulle over the balloon. Ensure it drapes evenly on all sides.
Spray Adhesive: Lightly spray adhesive over the tulle layer. Make sure to cover the entire surface so that the next layer sticks well.
Continue Layering: Repeat the process of placing a tulle square over the balloon and spraying adhesive. You'll need to do this for all 14 layers of tulle. Make sure each layer is evenly distributed and adheres properly to the previous one. Wear gloves for this process. I find it easier when you can use your hands to shape the ghost as you go.
Step 3: Adding the Features
Eyes and Mouth: Once all the layers of tulle are in place, it's time to give your ghost a face. Use stick-on black felt to create eyes and a mouth. You can get creative with the shapes – round, oval, or even spooky, jagged designs.
Position the Features: Stick the felt pieces onto the top layer of tulle, positioning them as desired. Press firmly to ensure they stick well.
Step 4: Dry and Finalize
Drying Time: Allow the adhesive to dry completely. This might take a few hours or even overnight, depending on how much is used and the humidity in your area. Ensure the ghost is left undisturbed during this time.
Pop the Balloon: Once the tulle is fully dry and feels firm, use a pin or needle to pop the balloon. Carefully remove the deflated balloon from inside the tulle structure.

Color Variations: While white tulle is classic for ghosts, don't be afraid to experiment with other colors like black, orange, or even glow-in-the-dark tulle for a unique twist.
